Testimony of Midge M. Ladner (2002)

I was raised in the United Methodist Church, where my mother made sure we faithfully attended church, Sunday School, and other church functions. I was confirmed into the UMC and joined my local church. Although I grew up knowing that God loved me and Jesus died for me, they had no real personal significance to me. I attended church sporadically and prayed occasionally throughout my early 20s, all the while knowing I was living a life of sin. In early 1990 I was a physical witness to the demons in control of Jay Ladner’s life. I immediately began reading and studying and searching for a better way of life. I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit that year and slowly began to realize that Jesus died for ME! I have since grown spiritually and continue to attend church and study his word. Jerry Christiansen has given me a living example of the relationship God desires to have with each one of his chosen people, and it is now my number one goal to nurture that special relationship. I have a burden to pray for others as well as to speak to groups, particularly women and children, about God’s infinite love and grace. I marvel at the fact that God chose me and understand it is not by my works, but by his grace that my name is written in the Lamb’s book of Life. I desire only to exemplify the love of God, serve the Body of Christ, manifest the power of the Holy Spirit, and encourage others on this miraculous journey.

Statement of Beliefs of Midge M. Ladner (2002)

I believe that God created the heavens and the earth and all that is within. I believe he created man and woman in his own image, with a soul that longs to commune with the Father.

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, came to earth in the form of a baby, was crucified for MY sin, rose from the dead to redeem me from my sins, and is alive and sitting at the right hand of God the Father, constantly making intercession for me. Therefore, I accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior and seek to make him the master over every part of my life, striving for righteousness and holiness as he demonstrated while on earth.

I believe that God places his Holy Spirit within us to testify of his love, counsel of his will, guide us to holiness, reveal the Lord’s specific words and directions occasionally, and comfort us in the knowledge that God can do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can every hope or ask. The Holy Spirit is also the vehicle God uses to heal the sick in body, mend the broken hearted, mend broken families, and fill us with the love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control, and goodness needed to minister effectively to a hungry world.

I believe that once God chooses you and you accept that call and are baptized with the Holy Spirit, you are compelled to serve the Body of Christ. I believe God bestows different gifts and callings to all who ask humbly and in a servant’s spirit. I believe God currently wants me to assist Jay in distributing the Praise God Time clock, which will unleash the power of praise. I will do this by speaking to individuals and groups of the love of Jesus and the desire God has for his people to know him personally and praise him continually.
“From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same,
the Lord’s name is to be praised.” Psalm 113:3
