LOVE OF GOD

(John 3:16-17) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

(Psa 40:5) Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders You have done. The things You planned for us no one can recount to You; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.

(Psa 103:9-12) He will not always accuse, nor will He harbor His anger forever;
He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

(Psa 103:17-18) But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with their children's children
with those who keep His covenant and remember to obey His precepts.

(Deu 5:9) You shall not bow down to idols or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments.

(Deu 24:16) Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin.

(Mal 4:6) He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse."

(Deu 7:9-10) Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands.
But those who hate Him He will repay to their face by destruction; He will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate Him.

(2 Sam 14:14) Like water spilled on the ground, which can’t be recovered, so we must die. But God does not take away life; instead, He devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from Him.

(2 Sam 22:7) In my distress I called to the LORD; I called out to my God. From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came to His ears.

(2 Sam 22:20) He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because He delighted in me

(Deu 7:11-13) Therefore, take care to follow the commands, decrees and laws I give you today.
If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the LORD your God will keep His covenant of love with you, as he swore to your forefathers.
He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land--your grain, new wine and oil--the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land that He swore to your forefathers to give you.

(Job 5:18) For He wounds, but He also binds up; He injures, but His hands also heal.

(Psa 33:5) The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His unfailing love.

(Psa 34:18) The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

(Psa 37:28) For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake His faithful ones. They will be protected forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off;

(Psa 145:13-14) Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made.
The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.

(Psa 145:17) The LORD is righteous in all His ways and loving toward all He has made.

(Psa 145:20) The LORD watches over all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy.

(Isa 66:14) When you see this, your heart will rejoice and you will flourish like grass; the hand of the LORD will be made known to His servants, but His fury will be shown to His foes.

(Jer 33:8) I will cleanse them from all the sin they have committed against Me and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against Me.

(Hosea 11:1) "When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.

(Hosea 11:3-4) It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them.
I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love; I lifted the yoke from their neck and bent down to feed them.

(Luke 15:11-32) Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them. Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.
After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.’
So he got up and went to his father.
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'
But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate.
Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 'Your brother has come,' he replied, 'and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.'
The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'
‘My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'”

(Acts 15:7-9)
After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: "Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe.
God, who knows the heart, showed that He accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as He did to us.
He made no distinction between us and them, for He purified their hearts by faith.

(Rom 5:8-11) But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through Him! For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!
Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation

(Eph 2:4-5) But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,
made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved.

(1 Tim 1:13-16) Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.
The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst.
But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.

(2 Tim 1:8-10) So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God,
who has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,
but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

(Heb 13:5) Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
